Apple Music Classical will be available in France from tomorrow, but today it can be fiddled with a bit. We dusted off our Apple account located in New Zealand, and surprise: the download was not blocked! What a first impression to take while waiting for the official release.
As a reminder, this complementary app for Apple Music has the advantage of being completely classically designed. A genre that requires some complex functionality to be inserted into the standard version, including a search engine to sort by composer, work, conductor, etc. Apple has more than 5 million songs and obviously prides itself on spatial audio.
Not surprisingly, the app looks a lot like the standard version of Apple Music. The “Explorer” section offers to choose according to different criteria, tools can be selected in the section of the same name. You can easily find out who is the composer, who is the orchestra, who is on the piano, etc. by clicking on the record.
Apple has released a nice selection of icons for the occasion, brightening up the otherwise unimpressive interface. On the home page, Cupertino highlights exclusive albums and “The Story of Classical” catalog to explore the genre. A guide is provided to take you around the app… but all of this is only available in English.
We’ll have a chance to return to Apple Music Classical in a detailed overview to be released in the coming days. Application is available Reservation French shop. You’ll need an iPhone with iOS 15.4 to take advantage of it, as well as a subscription to the service (excluding the Voice formula). Remember that the iPad app is not scheduled to launch.
