The first edition in mountain bike Enduro World Cup history kicked off with two rounds in Australia. During the first weekend in Maidina, Tasmania, Martin Maes finished 14th. A week later in the Derby he reached fifth place in the second heat. Ardennais said he was “happy with this fifth place” on social networks. He commented, “It was a tough and demanding day, I gave everything.” In the overall World Cup standings, Mace is currently in twelfth place. Leading the way is American Richard Rudd Jr., winner of the Derby. The first edition of the World Cup will be contested over seven rounds.
