In a press release published on Tuesday, the Alfa Roma team announced that its driver Valtteri Bottas will wear a special helmet for the Australian Grand Prix, designed by an Aboriginal Australian artist. Finns are closely related to the local indigenous culture: “Australian culture and history is something I have taken a keen interest in over the past few years, particularly through my partner, Tiffany, who is originally from here, and we are committed to giving a special appreciation to the Aboriginal community.”says Finn.
The designer of this helmet, Ricky Kildea, himself an Aboriginal, is delighted to represent his local culture: “I am proud of my indigenous identity, and painting is a way for me to strengthen my relationship with it.”Specifies before adding: “It has been an honor to work alongside Valtteri on this project, and I look forward to seeing him «Nutter» Take a helmet to the track this weekend. I am passionate about making a real difference in the Aboriginal community.”
The auction for this unique helmet started on Tuesday and ends on April 11th on the site f1authentics.com. The funds raised through this sale will be donated to two Australian Indigenous community associations, in connection with the team’s charitable partner, save the Children
