Adviser to Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Resident Abroad Since 2019, Mr. Arif started his career as a journalist at MAP Agency, which he joined in 1994 before holding various positions in the same agency.
He held international editor-in-chief positions in Washington in 2009, before being appointed head of the agency’s office in Paris (2008-2009).
By introducing the agency’s international focus policy, Mr. Arif was the first director of the North America Center (2013-2018) with headquarters in Washington and several correspondents in New York, Canada, Mexico, Santo Domingo and Panama City.
Elected as General Secretary in 2018, Mr National Council of Journalists Founded in 1908, one of the world’s most prestigious news organizations, Washington’s (NPC) has interviewed many high-profile American political figures, including Hillary Clinton and Colin Powell.
